Rough Scene By Scene Deconstrucion - Part 2

After being taken in following the problems outside in the street the dad unveils his secret box from when he used to be a budding photographer as a kid. He takes them into a room with a dim light and shows them a photo. A photo of a really tall man being escorted by three policemen with some crowd in front. The dad tells them the legend of a superhero that used to live nearby and helped their town during hard times however when found out by government they requested he was quarantined; he volunteered to, understand that his presence was a danger to the town. The locked him away in a chamber hidden somewhere in the vast countryside.

The two kids draw up a plan after learning that anything to do with the existence of this inhuman person was sent to one town to be disposed of together was shut down as the rioting started to escalate. They make a plan to travel to the town before them to seek out the stash of information and find out where he was taken. This is all after asking their dad why no one went to free him after the rioting started and he says he doesn’t know where or what happened to him.  The two kids revel in this myth and the hope it may provide.

The next day the dad makes breakfast and leaves it on the table for his son (at an exact time suggesting the son always eats at this time) He calls him down for school, but there is no answer. The dad checks everywhere, the mom of the other child appears at the door and they both start to worry. He opens the door wider and a rush of air sweeps in. They hear a small creak and investigate. The dad’s room in which he keeps everything to do with the “being” has been opened with his key, and some of the information has gone.

We cut to the two kids putting food in their backpacks and talking to one another, they take out a rough drawing of the town and an area marked that they believe is where the being is entombed. As the sun continues to rise they set off on their journey towards a dangerous town overrun by rioters…
Note: There is still alot more continuing from this story, however understanding the time constraints may mean that this is to be the end of a "Part 1" of the film leaving a cliffhanger of the fate of the kids and the town.
